Born in Guam and raised in California, Christine Berk attended California State University, Fresno as a Rodman Scholar and graduated cum laude. Following graduation, Christine served in management roles for a Silicon Valley printing company before transitioning to news media covering education, real estate, and business in the Midwest and California, and ultimately pursuing law in Florida. For more than 13 years, Christine’s transactional and litigation practice has involved working with business owners, institutional and private lenders, and individuals in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale, leasing, title, liens, HOA and condominium association matters, and related litigation. Christine has also helped businesses from formation through business restructuring, employment matters, and dispute resolution.
Christine Berk currently serves as In-House Counsel for The Collier Companies, a multi-family housing management and real estate development company based in Gainesville, with a portfolio of over 12,000 apartment homes in the Southeast region of the United States, including the Central Floridar region.
She is involved in The Florida Bar’s Business Law Section and Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section, as well as related committees within The Florida Bar. She is a Past President of the Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association and actively supports various Asian American and Pacific Islander initiatives.
Beyond her legal practice, Christine has served over 13 years as a Volunteer Child Advocate through Florida’s Guardian ad Litem Program on behalf of children who have experienced abuse, abandonment, and neglect. She has also advocated for children and families locally and internationally through her leadership roles in UNICEF Unite Orlando and was recognized with a Presidential Service Achievement Award for her advocacy and volunteer services.
