Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Vi Ma immigrated to the United States in 1982 with her mother and four brothers to reunite with her father, a former lieutenant. She has called Orlando, Florida home for the past 43 years. After graduating from Evans High School and completing two years of college, Vi entered the workforce to support her family. She began her career in telecommunications, where she spent seven years in various roles, and later transitioned to the hospitality industry. In 2003, she joined Darden Restaurants, where she enjoyed a progressive nine-year career.
Vi is the Founder and President of Global Diversity Marketing Network, LLC, a firm focused on expanding business markets through multicultural strategy integration. She is also the Founder and President of Ngoc Son Heart & Heritage Foundation, Inc., a charitable organization inspired by her late parents, Ngoc Nguyen and Son Ma. The foundation is dedicated to uplifting communities by supporting fundraising efforts for schools, colleges, and charitable programs that benefit children, seniors, and veterans. Today, the foundation is led by Vi, another adult leader, and three of Ngoc Son’s grandchildren who are being mentored to continue the family’s legacy of service.
In addition to her professional achievements, Vi has served on multiple nonprofit boards, including the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida, where she held leadership roles for over a decade. She continues to contribute to the Vietnamese American community through her role as a Board Member at Long Van Temple, the first Vietnamese Buddhist temple in Orlando, established in 1981 and now home to more than 170 members.
Vi’s passion for community service was deeply influenced by her parents. After losing her father in 2017 and her mother in 2018, she has continued their legacy through active civic involvement. She is also actively mentoring and creating mentorship opportunities for college and high school students, connecting them with business and community leaders to help guide their future careers.
She has been married to Kevin Stolz for 24 years, and together they have a son, Zachary, age 20. Vi continues to reside in Orlando, where she enjoys organizing and participating in community and charity events—often with Zachary by her side since he was just four years old.
